Roles of DevOps Trainers

The candidate for this position will be primarily responsible for providing change and incident management services for the applications that the team supports. These services include coordinating and completing requested changes for those applications, responding to incidents that are reported either by automated alerting or customer report issues. In addition to these primary responsibilities the candidate for this position will also provide some services within the application management service focus which includes working on specific applications with other AMS engineers or development teams and also participating in specific projects as assigned.

This position includes hours outside the established work schedule as needed and requires being part of an on-call rotation. A general understanding of Thomson and West business processes, product lines, and internal and external customers is also preferred.

Application Management Services has team members on all shifts. This position will be a rotational position across all three shifts during the first three months of training with final placement to be determined after the completed training cycle.

BE/BTech
7-9 yrs of experice in IT Production Support
Experience supporting applications in an enterprise environment.
Experience supporting applications using WebSphere and Linux/ Unix/Windows.
Vcenter Experience
o Azure Experience
o Kubernetes (nice to have)
o Experience maintaining Java Web Application servers
Troubleshooting Java environments
o Linux/Windows experience
o Basic scripting experience
o Jenkins Build Setup experience
o Basic Git experience
o Networking experience

o Environment config troubleshooting and triage
o Server maintenance
o Environment Buildouts
o General infrastructure maintenance
o OS patches/updates

Proxy reboots / config etc
o To assist the TRENVINF team and potentially contribute to production triage and troubleshooting
