The Delhi University Entrance Tests (DUET)-2019 for admissions to various PG, MPhil, PhD and some undergraduate courses will be held between July 3 and July 8. The new dates were notified on DU’s website on Sunday. The change in exam dates has been effected following the High Court’s direction to the university to extend the date of registration. For the first time, the exams will be conducted by the National Testing Agency, which also conducts other national examinations such as NEET and JEE.
The two-hour long exam with 50-100 multiple choice questions, along with negative marking will be held at 18 centres across the country. After the exam, an answer key will be displayed on the college’s website within 48 hours, which applicants may challenge if they have a different view.
In a separate notification, the university informed that the number of seats available for various MPhil and PhD courses will be determined by individual departments and the reservations under different heads will be implemented on the list of selected candidates, the Research Council said. The clarification comes following protests by students groups over reservations in these courses.
