All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Post Graduate (PG) 2020 final registration shall open today, and will be available for a two weeks window.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will open the final registration for PG entrance exam to be conducted for Jan 2020 session admission today. Candidates can access AIIMS PG final registration 2020 from Last date to complete the same is October 11, 2019.

AIIMS offers post graduate courses namely MD, MS, DM (6 years), MCh (6 years), MDS at AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh. The basic registration for Jan admissions had opened on May 6 and closed on August 27. For all the accepted basic registrations, codes have been generated and uploaded on September 16. Now only those candidates do the final registration who have the code; codes can be seen until October 11, 2019 as well.

The application fee for general, OBC candidates is Rs 1500. It is Rs 1200 for SC, ST, EWS. PWBD candidates are exempted from fee payment.

Status of final registration showing accepted, rejected with reasons will be published on October 21, 2019. The last date for submission of documents for regularization of rejected application is October 25, 2019. Admit card with roll number and exam center will then be released on November 6, 2019.

AIIMS PG 2020 will be held on November 17, 2019, in 68 cities. It will be a three hours long exam. The MD, MS, MDS exams will be held from 9 am to 12 noon. Marks will be awarded as percentile. The minimum cut-off prescribed the governing body is 50th Percentile.

There are 164 seats in AIIMS New Delhi. This includes 147 for MD/MS, 10 for MDS, 4 for DM, and 7 for M.Ch. AIIMS Bhopal has 50. AIIMS Bhubaneswar has 55. Then AIIMS Jodhpur has 58 seats. AIIMS Patna has 68 seats. There are 59 seats in AIIMS Raipur, and 94 in AIIMS Rishikesh.

Candidates with MBBS can apply for MD/MS, and those with BDS can apply for MDS. In both cases, candidates should have completed the 12 months compulsory rotating internship / practical training on or before January 30, 2020.

The MD, MS, MDS entrance exam will have 200 multiple choice questions. These questions will be of the following types – single best answer type, multiple true false type, match the following, sequential arrangement type, multiple completion type, reason assertion type, extended matching items or questions (EMI / EMQ).

Marking scheme will be as follows. Single best answer type will have +1, -⅓. Multiple true false type will be +⅕, -⅕. Then match the following questions will be +¼, -¼. Sequential arrangement type questions will be of +1, -1 type. Multiple completion type questions will have +1, -¼ marking.Reason assertion type will also be +1, -¼. Extended matching items or questions (EMI / EMQ) will have +½, -½ scoring.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi was established as per the parliamentary act 1956. The six other AIIMS Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, and Rishikesh were founded under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. Admission to all, for UG as well as PG programs is on merit cum choice basis.
