Every year Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a common written exam to hire a number of selected aspirants for clerical cadre in multiple public sector banks. IBPS started its exam since 2011 and as it is 8th-time IBPS organising the exam so it’s mentioned as IBPS Clerical Cadre (CRP Clerks -VIII).
Since the mode of examination is online so IBPS accepts online application through its official website for registration of the examination. In 2019, IBPS CWE-VII Clerk Pre-Exam is going to organise Preliminary Examination on 07th, 08th, 14th & 15th December 2019. IBPS Clerk Main Examination will be held on 25th January 2020.
IBPS CLERK Eligibility Criteria:
Possess a Graduation Degree from a University/college recognized by the Government of India.
The aspirant should have a valid Mark-sheet or Degree Certificate which states that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam. The percentage of marks obtained in Graduation should be mentioned at the time of registration for the IBPS Bank-Clerk examination.
Computer Education: Knowledge of computer operation is a must as the IBPS Clerk exam is conducted online.
Language Proficiency: Aspirants should have verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT. The aspirant should be able to read, write and speak the language.
Age Eligibility: A aspirant’s age on 01.09.2018 Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years
Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants:
Aspirants applying for IBPS CWE/Bank Clerk Examination should be one of the following:
1. Citizen of India.
2. The subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
Aspirants belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt. of India in their favour.

Exam pattern:
The IBPS clerk preliminary examination is conducted by online mode and it lasts for an hour. The question paper is divided into three sections and having 100 no of questions and 100 marks all total. 0.25marks are deducted as penalty for a wrong answer. The aspirants have to qualify the sectional cut off to get into the IBPS Mains. The section wise details are given below.

The IBPS Clerk Main examination is also conducted by online mode and having four sections and lasts for 160 mins. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks of every wrong answer.
