Tamil Nadu NEET 2019 rank list: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, state selection committee, will soon announce the MBBS and BDS rank list for medical admissions. Earlier the provisional rank list was expected to be out on July 2 and then on July 4. According to the official notification, the rank list is expected to be out on July 6 or 8, 2019.

As per sources, Tamil Nadu NEET rank list will be released on July 6, 2019. The candidates who have applied for admission to medical colleges can check result at the official website, tnmedicalselection.org.

Tamil Nadu NEET 2019: How to check rank

Step 1: Visit the official website, tnmedicalselection.org.

Step 2: Click on the link Tamil Nadu NEET Rank List.

Step 3: Page will be directed, and Tamil Nadu MBBS NEET Rank List opens in PDF format.

Step 4: Find your name or registration number.

Step 5: Download and take a print out of it for future reference.

Note: The allotment seats will be done on the basis of candidate’s merit position in the rank list, choice opted and considering the other factors like reservation and eligibility.

Tamil Nadu NEET 2019 rank list: NEET 2019 cut off

According to officials, cut off percentile for General category candidates is 50 while for OBC, SC, and ST category candidates the cut-off percentile in 40.

NEET 2019 results: Last year’s result data

In 2018, the Central Board of Secondary Education declared the NEET UG exam results on June 4. CBSE NEET 2018 was conducted on May 6 at 2255 examination centres. Nearly 13 lakh candidates appeared for the medical entrance exam.

In NEET 2018, Kalpana Kumari obtained the All India Rank 1 in with 99.99 percentile. She obtained 171 out of 180 in physics, 160 out of 180 in Chemistry, 360 out of 360 in Biology (Biology and Zoology). Overall her score was 691 out of 720.

The Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation for conducting the efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.

As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act -1956 and the Dentists Act-1948 and as amended from time to time, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2019 (NEET (UG) – 2019) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.
