new Delhi. The application process for entrance examinations of IGNOU’s MBA (OpenMAT) and BEd programs by National Testing Agency, NTA, is in progress. This is for the first time that admission test will be conducted online for admission in the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), also by any third party. Earlier, IGNOU had announced to hold its entrance examination online. IGNOU Vice-Chancellor Nageshwar Rao also said that if more examinations (previously organized by IGNOU) can be organized by the NTA, then it will be fine.

- Click on the application form for Openmate or BEd on the home page.
- You will be redirected to a new page.
- Click on the link for new candidate registration.
- Fill details.
- Register.
- Use the registration ID to log-in.
- Fill in the online form, upload the picture.
- Make a payment.
- Download the receipt and print out.
The link to submit online for both examinations will be closed on 1 July 2019. Candidates will be given a window to correct the application form from July 2 to July 3, 2019. The two-hour entrance exam for admission to BEd will be held on July 27, 2019, from 10 am to 12 pm. Exam for OpenMAT will be held from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the same date.
For both BED entrance and OpenMate, candidates will have to pay Rs. 600 as an application fee. Any graduate (including Chartered Accountancy / Cost Accountancy / Company Secretary) can apply for MBA admission with 50% marks. For reserved category candidates, the minimum required score is 45 percent. There is no age limit for that. For BEd admission, candidates must have at least 50 percent marks in Bachelor Degree and/or Master’s degree in Science / Social Science / Commerce / Humanities. With a specialization in science and mathematics with 55 percent marks, equivalent to graduate or any other qualification in engineering or technology and with NCTE accredited and trained service teachers in primary school. There is a minimum of 5 percent discount for reserved category candidates.
