IBPS Clerk 2019 notification for 12,075 vacancies was published earlier today. Application form for this, one of the most awaited banking job exams in India, will be available next week.

Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) published the notification for IBPS Clerk 2019 today, at The institute has advertised that there are 12,075 vacancies in the clerical cadre in various banks which will be filled through online preliminary exam, followed by an online mains exam. The recruitment is open for graduates.

IBPS Clerk 2019 online application form will be released on September 17, 2019 at It shall remain available until October 9, 2019. The preliminary exam will then be held on four dates – December 7, 8, 14, and 21, 2019. Then prelims result will be announced and after that the mains exam will be held on January 1, 2020.

IBPS is looking for candidates between 20 to 28 years of age to apply for the post. With regards to the upper age limit, a relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PWD is allowed. Age limit for other categories of candidates shall be as per govt norms.

Before applying online, candidates should keep handy of their valid personal email id, phone number, scanned photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm), scanned signature and left thumb impression, a hand written declaration. Then candidates have to open the link “CRP Clerks” and click on the option “APPLY Online for CRP- Clerks (CRP-Clerks-IX)”. After filling up the application form, an application fee has to be submitted of Rs 100 by SC / ST / PWBD / EXSM candidates and Rs 600 for all others.

Candidates will be selected on the performance of Prelims and Mains examination. The prelims paper will be of 100 marks containing questions from english language, numerical ability and reasoning ability. The respective marks for each sections will be 30, 35 and 35. Candidates will have to solve the paper within 60 minutes. The mains paper will of 200 marks comprising questions from general / financial awareness, general english, reasoning ability and computer aptitude and quantitative aptitude. The respective marks of each sections will be 50, 40, 60 and 50. The duration of the paper will be 160 minutes.

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the objective examination. For any incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will get deducted. In case if a question is left blank / no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

If the examination is held at different sessions, then the scores will be normalized by using equi-percentile method. All the candidates have to obtain a minimum score in prelims and mains examination. The cut offs will be decided depending on the number of the state / UT wise vacancies available. Then a merit list will be prepared on the marks obtained in the mains examination. Candidates will be shortlisted provisionally to one of the participating organisation on merit-cum-preference.

At the time of joining, candidates must bring a printout of the online application form registered for CRP Clerks-IX, date of birth certificate, photo identity proof, mark sheets and certificates of academic qualification, caste certificate (by SC / ST / OBC categories), Income asset certificate by EWS category candidates, disability certificate (if applicable), NOC certificate (if applicable), experience certificates (if any).
