A well-structured preparation strategy for JEE Main should include a mix of conceptual clarity, practice, and regular testing. In my opinion, the best starting point is NCERT textbooks, as they cover almost all the basics required for the exam, especially in Chemistry. Once the foundation is strong, students can move to advanced reference books like H.C. Verma (Physics), Cengage series (Mathematics), and Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations or O.P. Tandon (Chemistry) for better problem-solving skills. In terms of online learning, platforms such as Physics Wallah, Unacademy, and Vedantu offer detailed lectures and doubt-clearing sessions that are very useful. Moreover, practicing from the NTA official mock tests, Embibe, and previous year question papers helps in understanding the actual exam pattern and difficulty level. Regular revision and self-assessment are key to improving performance over time.
