The best way to prepare for JEE Main is to keep your study plan simple, realistic, and consistent. Many students start with too many books and complicated schedules, but what actually works is following a routine you can manage every day without getting exhausted.
A balanced timetable should include all three subjects daily. You can spend your morning learning new concepts, afternoon solving questions, and evening revising formulas or short notes. Even 6–7 focused study hours are enough if you study seriously and avoid distractions.
For study material, start with NCERT because it builds your foundation, especially for Chemistry. After that, use one good reference book per subject instead of changing resources again and again. Practice is more important than collecting books.
Mock tests should become a regular part of your preparation. In the beginning, attempt chapter-wise tests to build confidence. Once your syllabus improves, start giving full-length tests every week. These tests help you improve speed, accuracy, and time management, which are very important for JEE Main.
Revision is where most students either improve or fall behind. Make short notes while studying so you can quickly revise important formulas, reactions, and concepts later. A quick weekly revision can save you from forgetting old topics.
Also, do not compare your preparation with others too much. JEE preparation is different for everyone. Staying consistent with your own plan matters more than studying for extremely long hours occasionally.
If your concepts are clear, your revision is regular, and you practice questions daily, your preparation will automatically become more organized and effective over time.
