The JEE Main syllabus mainly includes three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, based on the Class 11 and Class 12 curriculum. The exam pattern usually contains multiple-choice questions and numerical-based questions from all three subjects, with equal importance given to each section. For beginners, it is better to first focus on high-weightage and concept-building topics before moving to advanced chapters. In Physics, topics like Laws of Motion, Current Electricity, Modern Physics, Work and Energy, and Thermodynamics are very important. In Chemistry, students should first focus on Chemical Bonding, Organic Chemistry basics, Periodic Table, Thermodynamics, and Coordination Compounds because these topics help in understanding many other chapters. In Mathematics, topics such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, and Probability should be given priority. Along with understanding the syllabus, students should also practice mock tests and previous years’ questions regularly to become familiar with the exam pattern, improve speed, and increase accuracy. Starting with basic concepts and gradually moving toward difficult problems is considered the best strategy for effective JEE Main preparation.
