GNOU OPENMAT, BEd registration 2019: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date of submission of online application form for OPENMAT (MBA) XLVI and BEd entrance exam 2019.
All the interested, eligible candidates can apply for IGNOU OPENMAT and BEd programme till July 5.
IGNOU OPENMAT (MBA) and BEd entrance exam: Dates
As per the official notification, the IGNOU OPENMAT XLVI and BEd entrance exam 2019 will be conducted on July 27, 2019. The duration of the exam will be three hours and the test will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
How to apply for IGNOU OPNEMAT, BEd entrance exam 2019:
- Log on to the official website of IGNOU, www.ignou.ac.in
- Under alerts tab, click on ‘Registration open for OPENMAT (MBA) and B.Ed Entrance Test (Last date has been extended till 5th July 2019)’
- On the homepage, click on ‘Application Form for OPENMAT XLVI’ or ‘Application Form for B.Ed.’
- Fill the application form in the prescribed format
- Pay the application fee and upload the required documents
- Click on submit

Details of IGNOU OPENMAT (MBA):
The total duration of IGNOU OPENMAT (MBA) will be three hours and the test will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Eligibility criteria:
- The eligibility criteria for admission to MBA programme would be as per the AICTE norms viz.
- Any graduate (Including Chartered Accountancy/Cost Accountancy/Company Secretaryship) with 50 per cent marks for general category/45 per cent for reserved category as per government of India rules.
- Students should ensure that his/her CGPA should meet the eligibility percentage requirement
- Clearance of OPENMAT entrance test of IGNOU conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA)
- No age bar
About the management programme:
The Management Programme (MP) of IGNOU has been designed with the aim to offer quality flexible education at the doorstep of the learners. It focuses on catering to the needs of the specific target groups.
The programme has been established to provide developmental avenue for students, working personnel and professional for acquiring management qualifications to upgrade and refine their management skills, capabilities and orientation. Admission shall be done on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance combined on-line test conducted by NTA.
The minimum duration of the programme is two years. However, the maximum period allowedfor completion of the programme is five years.
IGNOU BEd 2019: Details
The Bachelor of Education (BEd) programme of IGNOU has been designed with the aim to develop an understanding of teaching-learning process at upper primary/secondary and senior-secondary level among student teachers. It focuses on enabling student-teachers to reflect critically on perspectives of education and integrate holistically the theory and practices to facilitate active engagement of learners for knowledge creation
The minimum duration of the programme is two years. However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the programme is five years.
Admission to Bachelor of Education (BEd) programme will be based on the performance of candidates in the All India Level Entrance Test conducted by NTA. The final merit list for selection will made nodal regional center wise by IGNOU on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the online entrance test.
Eligibility criteria:
At least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55 per cent marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, and
The following categories are eligible to be students of B.Ed. (ODL):
- Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
- Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode
